• A:Answer Hello Amyskindle! I am so sorry you're having trouble getting your Fire tablet to power on. There could be a few different things this could be. First, check your power cord and adapter by trying to plug something else in with it that uses the same microUSB power cord and see if it charges that device. Second, if you have any other power cords and/or adapters, that fit microUSB try that for a bit to see if it powers up your device. Third, press and hold the power button on the tablet for an extended period (30 seconds or so) to see if it powers on or at least displays that it needs to charge. You can also check around and inside of the charging port to see if there is any corrosion that could be caused by any liquid or moisture coming in contact with it. Lastly, you may have to contact Amazon Customer Care to see if they can troubleshoot further with you. I hope this helps some and that you have a terriffic day!

As for how loud it gets, it is hard to say definitively if it is loud enough without knowing the person.
