It is transportable from TV to TV from the same WIFi connection. But if moving to a new area outside of your routers reach, you will need to go the the Settings, Network and sign in to a WiFI. So you can take it on vacation or work travel and plug it in the TV at the hotel, and log it into the hotel WiFI, and have access to your paid apps such as Netflix.
