I don't know about Youtube TV, but I have an LG smart TV, and using the Firestick gives you so many more options and control because of the apps you can download, especially ES File Explorer, which lets you see and pklay files that are on computers in your home network.

Yes.I have an LG c8 oled tv and a 4k firestick and YouTube works the same on both.

It is an app like any other that lives on your home screen. Works well! Haven't seen the LG version of this app so I can't compare the two.
