“I have a marantz 7009 AV receiver which processes video and audio to TV (a Samsung smart tv SUHD) and the surround sound speakers and subwoofer. Can the firestick plug into the receiver rather than the tv to get the same audio and video result.”

• Yes, I plug my Fire TV stick directly into my Yamaha receiver with no problems. Fire TV stick remote can be set to control the receiver volume as well.
