• You absolutely NEED Internet for this device to stream content from the web. It uses pretty much the same data as watching videos on YouTube.

• Yes you do. Ethernet connection is best but wifi is good.

• Yes you do and it has apps that you can download, it is much better than older versions. I had the well still have the older version I've moved it into guestroom
