I had an older model tv and while it had an HDMI & USB port I couldn't get it to work. However, I have a comcast box and maybe you have to buy an adapter--seems I read that somewhere. Go on Amazon and look under their reviews as lots of people answer questions there.

It will work with any model TV that has HDMI. If your TV model is not a 4k it will not improve anymore than your TV's current standard resolution.

I have a 10 year old Panasonic plasma TV, and it works just fine with it. Of course my TV is only 720P or 1080i at best, so wont do 4k but looks great, and if I upgrade to 4k tv later on it will be even better. As long as you have an HDMI input on your TV it should work fine with it.

As long as your TV has an HDMI port it will work. It is possible that the remote might not control the TV properly, but my guess is that it will.
