We have our Fire TV Stick 4k running through a receiver as well. No issues there. If your receiver handles 4k signals then you'll be able to stream 4k to your TV. If your receiver only handles 1080p signals then you'll be streaming 1080p. I've read that Netflix (and maybe some others) require 4k @ 60 Hz. I don't know if it's true or not, but check your TV specs to be sure. The earlier generations of 4k TVs only handled 4k @ 30 Hz.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can replace the Roku with the FS without any hitches. If you want to connect your FS straight to your TV, make sure both your receiver and TV support ARC in order for it to function properly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Connecting the fire stick straight to the tv using the HDMI would be the best way.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I routinely use Fire TV stick and Google Chromecast via my Denon AV receiver connected to my TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not 100% sure... if your receiver has an HDMI input then the firestick can be hooked up to the receiver & most likely should run thru it ok but I initially started with a Roku & what I love about the fire stick is it eliminates the need for all the extra equipment and can be hooked up directly to your TV if you have an HDMI input… Therefore you have less equipment to worry about anything going wrong with… I personally come from an extensive lengthy cable Television background So I am familiar with all of the different pieces of equipment and different scenarios in things you can use through your TV… and in switching to my fire stick it has made life so much easier and so much nicer to view tv whereas most any apps and programs that you want to run can be downloaded directly on your fire stick without the need of additional equipment such as having to have a receiver or a computer hooked up to the roku in order to use additional apps through it… The fire stick in my opinion is definitely worth the money… good luck in your future viewing
