I just want to be able to watch and or record broadcast(over the air) tv. is that true? I bought this be cause I was told that. I can't get ota with it or I don't know how to. just want broadcast tv. I think I was sold the wrong thing null

Yes you probably have the wrong device. This is an internet streaming media device only (with limited download capabilities) - not an OTA antenna.

You can do that if you subscribe to a service like Direct TV Now or Hulu Live and pay monthly.

The Fire TV stick is a streaming device that uses your internet and WI-FI to get apps from your internet.It does not pick-up over the air channels.You need an amazon account and internet to watch programs,either with ethernet or wi-fi.Hope this helps.

No , this won’t work the way that you want. I think you can do that with the other product, The Fire TV but not the firestick. You can’t record with the Fire stick and it only receives regular broadcast tv through apps of broadcast tv. It won’t give you “live “ television.

You need the recast fire TV box in order to do the DVR and live TV. The firestick won't be able to do this.
