You do not need an Alexa device. The built in Alexa will only be able to change the channel in the fire stick not on dish with out one tho
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.U don’t have to have Alexa for it to work it’s already in the fire stick and it works with the dish
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.U don’t have to have Alexa it’s built right into the fire stick. And it works with the dish cuz it has nothing to do with it u can kind of think of it as a DVD player it’s a separate hook up in the back of ur tv it operates on its own. But u can get ur dish stations on the fire stick like hbo, showtime, USA, Whatever stations u want they r all just apps u download. U might have to sign in using ur direct tv info on things u will see it’s easy and self Explanatory
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No you don’t you just need WiFi, Alexa is built in but is more for you too command the remote
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Fire Stick TV is independent of Dish or DirecTV. This unit plugs into a HDMI port on the back of your HD TV. When you turn on your TV, you will click on what ever port you have this unit plugged into to access it. Then just follow the directions to register it with Amazon. You need an Amazon account or you need to set one up. As for the Alexa, I'm pretty sure you will need an Alexa (Echo, Dot, Cube) to try and link this up with. I do not use this feature, but there are instructions to enable this. It's either online at Amazon or it maybe another step of initial Fire TV installation. Hope this helps.
