Only if you live in an area that is available via the locast app. Another suggestion is to go to the Silk browser then type in your local tv station's website then click on the live news link.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Basically sounds like you would like to "Cut-the-Cord" with regards to Cable-TV-Providers and Cable-Boxes.. Unfortunately, while the Amazon Fire-Sticks (HD-1080 & 4K-Ultra) Stream Multiple TV-Services, (i.e. Amazon-Prime, You-Tube, Net-Flix, Hulu, etc.), the Fire-Sticks do Not Stream Local TV Stations (ABC, CBS, Fox,NBC, etc.) per se.. So, while Amazon Fire-Sticks do Not Stream Local TV Stations (News) directly; there are multiple Streaming Apps such as You-Tube, Hulu-Live, and Sling-TV-Blue, that Stream Local TV Channels over the Amazon Fire-Sticks.. However, these Streaming Apps cost approximately $30.00 Minimum, to about $60.00 a month, depending on specific Service, number of Concurrent TV's, etc.. Another Option, is to attach an Amplified TV Antenna, to your TV, if you are within 25 to 30 Miles from Local Broadcast Towers to obtain Local TV Stations & News.. And, of Course just subscribe to only "Basic-Cable" for Local Stations, and Stream Premium Channels via Amazon Fire-Sticks.. Hope this helps..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have basic cable. You can download your local news app and go from there.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We cut the cord with Cable altogether. All you need is internet. We are members of Amazon Prime, so we have access to all that plus we subscribe to You Tube TV. We have all the shows, movies, local news, etc that we could want.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don't get cable at all! You won't need it. You'll get your local news over the air and you can turn this on and it is fine.
