You download Showtime right on the fire stick using your pre-existing internet connection. There's no fee for the firestick itself but there is a fee for some of the apps. Showtime is either a monthly fee or free with the app if you already have a cable subscription. I'm not sure of the exact fee for Showtime but it's somewhere between 10 to 15 if you don't already have cable welcome.

Showtime does not come preloaded on firestick. You can buy a monthly subscription via Amazon. Upon sign up, Amazon will offer you a seven day trial, if you do not cancel, you will be charged $10.99 + applicable tax. YES, you will need a wifi router thru your cable provider( Spectrum offers free router,no monthly rental fee, Verizon has monthly rental fee) in order for firestick to work at all. I had my firestick 4k jailbroken for a minimal one time fee ($65.00) and now get Showtime,HBO, NFL & MBL Network, ESPN, PPV, out of market and local channels, etc. All with no monthly fees or monthly subscription to any of these services. If you decide to buy a firestick and get it jailbroken, you WILL ONLY NEED to purchase internet service from your cable provider, DO NOT purchase CHANNEL PACKAGE SUBSCRIPTION, since jailbroken firestick has all cable channels installed. Yes you of to have internet to use the fire stick then you subscribe from Amazon are whoever yupi wanted to but if you have Amazon prime you dnt need to subscribe to anyone.
