If your TV audio controls volume levels to the sound bar via the optical connection, then it will work, s this device will control volume on the TV. Not sure if it can control your sound bar. It does have an option to "manage equipment" - "add equipment" - that it can control.

I have an lg sound bar and use the optical cable to connect it to my tv. The fire stick remote can pair to your sound bar like a universal remote. There is an option to go in and pair it through the settings. It’s a simple setup to do. Just follow on screen instructions
