I have a fire TV from last year and when our cable went out I went to Best Buy to get another one and they only had the fire stick 4k and the cube 4k (I really don't see us using the cube just for Alexa any more than I would use Alexa on my remote). I choose to pick up the fire stick 4k and there is not really a difference. However, the new stick seems to be faster. Hope this helps.

The 4K version has Alexa included in the remote and allows you to view 4K content. The 4K version also costs more. However if they are on sale, i think there is only a $10.00 difference . I don't own a 4K tv & purchased the 4K fire stick. I do see a slight improvement in 4 K content on my 1080P TV.
