No it needs to have internet access.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Of course - that is the whole purpose of getting the firesticktv 4k, it can use wither wi-fi or with adaptor connect cat5/cat6 ethernet cable. Better reliability, less juttering or interrupition, best quality for bandwidth - i hook all my devices up to cat5/cat6 ethernet cable wire. I do not rely on wi-fi for viewing movies/shows/content as it is so demanding on all resources for sound and picture and if want top qualtiy then that is the way I go. I look at it in the way of using your devices - whenever you can you like to plug them into DC current not just rely on batteries.
