We have both Versions of the Fire-Sticks (1080-HD & 4K-Ultra) in our Home, and we also take them on Vacation.. What has been evident when we travel, is that many Locations do Not have "True" Hi-Speed Wi-Fi.. When the Wi-Fi Speed is approximately 25 to 35 M-Bits (or less), the 4K-Ultra Fire-Stick performs erratically, and sometimes will Not even connect to the Wi-Fi Router, displaying an "Unknown Network Error".. In reality the "Unknown Network Error" has typically been the insufficient Wi-Fi Speed.. When we swap out the 4K-Ultra Fire-Stick, and use the 1080-HD Firestick, everything works OK.. And again, when we return home with Wi-Fi Speeds at 50 M-bits and higher, the 4K-Ultra works without any issues.. Not sure if the Wi-Fi Speed is the problem with your Fire-Stick in your home, but Wi-Fi Speed has been the Issue every time we have traveled and been unsuccessful with the 4K-Ultra Fire-Stick. Fortunately, the 1080-HD Firestick is able to connect to the Router and effectively Stream the various Channels on the TV's.. So, possibly a faster Internet Connection from your Internet Provider, or a faster Wireless Router (802.11-AC) will help.. Lastly, you can try the 1080-HD Fire-Stick in place of the 4K-Ultra Fire-Stick.. Hope this helps..
