Hello eddie, you need a good internet connection. There are many apps on this device and many more for download through an app store. Google TROYPOINT and you may find more information about some very good apps. Some of which do not require you to sign up for a service at a monthly fee but some do.

This deck will provide you with so many apps to download with so much to watch it is an unbelievable streaming device you set it up with your TV you must have one or more HDMI ports on your television open an Amazon account with your email and password and you're good to go

I recommend buying it,and learning it. If you run into problems,you can YouTube anything and figure out the device.
