“wifi concern I really would like to buy this device, but i am unsure if it will slow down our wifi for everyone else. My cousin has netflix for her daughter and netflix slowed down their wifi when she was on it. I'm not sure if this will do the same thing.”

I've had the fire stick for a few months now and I haven't experienced any problems with my internet speed or connection. Maybe contact your WiFi company, they should be able to tell you what the issue is.

Often you may need to upgrade to a higher service tier if you are streaming lots of media simultaneously.

I have 2 of these, and 2 apple tv's , 3 Laptops, 2 PS4s as well as numerous tablets and iPods on our network and we don't see any slow downs. Keep in mind that we also have the fastest internet you can get in our area.
