- Answer Only to watch any subscriptions you use. Like Netflix, Hulu, etc. To own the stick, no, there are no fees whatsoever.

- Answer The stick picks up your wifi network. The tv does not need to be wifi ready. You plug it into the tv, switch to the correct input and use the onscreen prompts to connect to your wifi network

- Answer I only have one HDMI port also. I tried to use a splitter for the fire stick and my blue ray. It didn't work for me.

- Answer Yes, as long as you have an available HDMI port. The fire stick works independently from "regular" tv. It just needs a WIFI signal.

- Answer No if you include a hd antena wich is good for local chanels and some free extras the picture quality is great and best part no bill. (Performance depends on antena placement and available signals in area) but for what these antenas are worth its Worth looking into.

- Answer if you only need to stream movies with no fuss FireTV stick is for you, if you need a wired internet connection, the option to connect USB flash drives and optical cabling to your home theatre system or give voice commands to the included remote go for the Amazon fire TV.

QuestionWill the Firestick work in an RV and what is required to make it work?I have recently purchased a camper and installed a television. I have Direct TV, but you have to spend an obscene amount of money to have the service supplied to a camping unit. I am already a Prime member, and the Firestick, comparatively speaking, is phenomenally cheaper. I would certainly rather spend this money on a Firestick rather than the $650 Direct TV's installers want.

QuestionDirect to TV?i already have the google Chromecast stick which is the most worthless unit ever and I don't want to reenact the same mistake. Why can't this connect direct to the TV? Does it have to have the computer interface? Googles CC requires you to play the content via Chrome and THEN transmit to the TV. So not only do you have to have a good internet connection to get the film going on Chrome, but then strong wifi to throw the signal again out to the TV. Plus it doesn't utilize Netflix, Hulu or anything else. Is this just as stupid? I see it has those third party services but am I simply throwing the signal from my laptop again? If I am, I'll just stick with the HDMI cable or buy a Roku box.

- Answer Don't know if you still need an answer to your question, but if you do, here goes. The Fire TV Stick connects directly to an HDMI port on yourvTV. You don't run it through a browser. I bought it primarily to use with Amazon Prime, but I'm also using some other apos with it. Prime movies, Prime Music, Netflix, Crackle and AllCast all work great. Plug the stick into an HDMI port, let it download any updates, and you're good to go. I have mine plugged into an HDMI port on my A/V receiver (Yamaha). Picture quality is excellent. I have a 7 channel surround system with high quality gear, so sound quality is also excellent. Overall a great device. Got mine from Best Buy on sale for $25, but even at the regular price of $40 it's still well worth the price. I'll be buying another one to use with anothet TV (although you can just remove it from one tv and connect to another).

- Answer Way more than a Smart TV. Yes, by Amazon designing and making the fire stick side loadable , you are now able to install Androids APK files. If your not very technical you can use it stock due to Amazons large app selection it makes it a Very Intelligent TV. - Answer No you can't do what you said. You need to plug the Amazon Fire Stick into a HDMI port NOT a USB port. If you have prime and a free HDMI port then yes you can just plug in the Amazon Fire Stick. Run through the set up and view Prime movies and also rent of buy the movie. Note that you do need to also have a plug the Amazon Fire Stick into a electric outlet. You might be able to plug that into your USB port but the do not recommend it. I did it and it worked fine for the power supply. But your question was can you just plug it into the USB port and that is not what you need to plug it into. It goes into a HDMI port.

- Answer Depends on what you're trying to do. To use it with Amazon content, Netflix, or apps like that, no. If you want kodi, and access to everything for free, yes.

QuestionReplacement remote?My son left the remote lay on his bed and I accidentally put it through the washer. I realized it before I put it in the dryer and I took the batteries out and let it air dry for a few days. My son put the batteries back in and the remote no longer works. QuestionCan Amazon Fire TV Stick use a keyboard and mouse with my Samsung Smart TV?I want to be able to see YouTube videos again on my Smart TV as I used to watch with my WD TV Live that had HDMI and USB and audio ports to connect to both the Smart TV (HDMI and audio), and to a keyboard (USB). BTW, the WD TV Live streaming media device played YouTube videos very well via the Smart TV, better than the slow Smart TV's browser. ? How can I use a keyboard with the Amazon Fire TV Stick to type in searches for YouTube videos, and then to save them into my YouTube folders that are online with my Google account, watching thru my Samsung Smart TV?

- Answer The device is portable and not bound to just one TV. You can move it from TV to TV (but it does not have the ability for you to share it with multiple TVs at the same time). All you need is an HDMI connection on your TV and Wi-Fi and you are all set. Once you connect it to your network the first time it will continue to remember it as you connect and disconnect from the TV.
