• The stick picks up your wifi network. The tv does not need to be wifi ready. You plug it into the tv, switch to the correct input and use the onscreen prompts to connect to your wifi network

• TV does not need to be WiFi capable, as long as you location has a signal Fire Stick will work. Works even in a motor home with WiFi signal.

• No, this basically makes your old non-smart TV into a smart TV. I also use it on a Panasonic Plasma with no wifi capabilities.
