Before the Fire Stick we were paying roughly $220 a month with cable. With just the stick and Amazon Prime it was nice but not nice enough to drop cable. After a lot of research and an easy install, I took the install at mykodi.net to convert my fire stick into the media masterpiece. It installs Kodi, with a lot of great addons that allow you to get any movie you want, even stuff in theaters. Every TV Show on demand, Live TV, and a lot more with no subscriptions. It's been great. I dropped cable to just internet month ago and haven't looked back since. It's saving me about $160 a month.

This is one of the best streaming device. It is $39 and it streams Netflix/prime/plex/games and a lot more. Thus far it's been a smooth operating device

I initially thought I had bought a lemon because of a persistant error I kept getting when trying to download Apps. I went to the built in Help on the device and looked for a contact number. There was a button you could click for them to call you so I gave that a try. A call center operator called me within 30 seconds and asked a few questions, then forwarded it up to a tech support person. He did something on his end to fix the issue and I have had no problems at all since. The Fire TV Stick works better than my ChromeCast and Roku 2, and I'm still exploring the great features!!!

Amazon Fire TV Stick is a Must for Non-Smart TVs. It brings new level of entertainment channels/apps and more. I tried Chromecast But I prefer Fire TV stick for 3 reasons. This review merely comparison between Fire TV Stick and Chromecast. 1. Kodi Support : Kodi is an external app that can be installed on Fire TV stick. It's truly Great app and everyone must try. Unfortunately Chromecast don't support Kodi/custom app installation. It's really a Deal Breaker. I have Samsung Smart TV, still I bought this for Kodi Support. Now I watch Indian (Tamil) Movies / Live TVs / TV Shows / Radio Stations at no cost. 2. Remote Support : Fire TV stick has dedicated remote that's helpful to enter text and navigate thru menus. You don't need mobile or tablet to operate the stick. Chromecast requires external device. 3. App store : Amazon App store has lot of apps (+ few Games) But Chromecast doesn't have dedicated app store to download/install required apps. When google releases the app for Chromecast, it'll automatically installed on Chromecast. Still No of apps supported by Chromecast is not upto any other app store. (Amazon / Samsung app store). Extra features. 1. Games : Can install and play games with Fire TV stick with Remote even though Amazon App store has limited good games (I recommend Asphalt). You can buy Amazon Game Controller which is similar to XBox One Controller. It's Great to play with the controller rather remote. 2. Alexa aka Voice Search : Fire TV comes with Alexa (like Siri in iPhone.) It understands many commands and executes well. (Even I have accent, still it interprets well) Eg. What's the weather outside? What's the time in India? To command Alexa, you need Mobile or voice remote (Sold separately.) It's Really Awesome Feature. I'd recommend Fire TV stick to Non-Smart TV users. It's a Must. Smart TV users who wish to expand the channels/platform, Kodi via Fire TV stick is the way to go.

For the price its a great deal and for what it can do it is very portable if you have the 100 to upgrade to a "box" i would recommend it but this for 39.99 is a very good media device it stays out of the way and is very user friendly also if you want to run kodi on it you can if you keep it small only reason for 4* is i hate the remote its small and not very easy to type in anything other than that great lil tv streaming device

This by far beats chrome cast, and all others on the market, its fast and the library alone kills Netflix if your a prime member. I have bought many for myself and as gifts. if you don't have a smart tv thrn this is thr best way to go.. even if you do this is still great

Just purchased the AFTS and it's like turning your TV into a computer. Easy downloads and a ton of content for your tv watching. Would highly recommend !

Portable from tv to tv and the setup was simple. Once I connected to wifi and signed into my Amazon account I was good to go!

This little device packs a punch very user-friendly I went back and bought two more for my other bedrooms.

This was an great purchase all the way! I hated having a visible cable box or Xbox One and wires in guest rooms, with the Amazon Fire stick there is only two cords that need to be hide(power cord for tv and power cord for the fire stick). The remote has great range, it can even work through a few walls. Bottom line simple to setup and use. Good bye cable!

Tried the Google Chromecast was not satified with results. The Fire TV stick full filled all expectation. Plus the added benefit of being able to take it on the road and use in hotels etc. I can use it on various TV's and not be teathered to a laptop or tablet as some other systems force you to do.The selection of Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon Prime can't be touched by other systems. Can be used anywhere as long as you have WiFi even in a motorhome.

The fire stick is absolutely great especially for people who like to travel. It is very convenient and helps you save on cable bills. The speed is great also.

The amazon fire stick allow for convenient media streaming. Many apps are preloaded. If you are an amazon prime member, additional shows, movies, music, games, videos and apps are available as well. With a few steos you are able to add apps not provided by amazon.

The Firestick is a really great device I have purchased one for every room in my home.

The Amazon Fire TV Stick is the best digital streaming device for the money. The next best one is the Roku Streaming Stick, but the Fire TV Stick is cheaper, has more memory, and a faster processor than the Roku. You can't go wrong with the Fire TV Stick. I highly recommend it.
