if you only need to stream movies with no fuss FireTV stick is for you, if you need a wired internet connection, the option to connect USB flash drives and optical cabling to your home theatre system or give voice commands to the included remote go for the Amazon fire TV.

Please try again later.I don't know if you ever found the answer you were looking for but there is not difference between the two really....The Fire Stick has 1GB of Ram whereas the Fire Box has 2GB's of Ram so it might run smoother fast, also all games are considered compatible on the Fire Box, they don't guarantee the same for the Fire Stick.
