Sling app is available on the Amazon Fire Stick.

It has the SlingTV application that you can download to watch the channels included in the package(s) that you choose. It also comes with a free 14-day trial that you can sign up for (first time subscribers only), but the subscription itself is not included as that is a separate service similar to Netflix and Hulu Plus.

The Amazon Fire TV stick does provide the Sling Tv App for 30 days free of charge and then afterwards does charge per user preference. I believe the lowest monthly charge is $20 after the free trial expires.

The App is a free download, but you will have to pay for the monthly subscription.

Only the fire tv box, the stick only has streaming from android devices.

There is a SlingTV app, and you need a subscription. So yes, essentially.
