- Answer Yes, the Remote that comes with the Fire Stick Lite can be used for 1st or 2nd generation Fire Sticks. This remote does not work with 3rd Generation Fire Sticks. A regular Fire Stick remote containing a power and volume buttons can be used with the 3rd generation Fire Sticks.
