• Yes! We just download the Netflix "app" after plugging in our Amazon Fire Stick and are able to enjoy Netflix in addition to numerous other Prime programs, etc.

• If you have netflix, you can just download it on the firestick and watch it via that without your phone whatsoever; but yes, if you want, you can stream it through your phone.
