• Some stuff is free like Crackle, but you still have to pay for HBO, showtime, etc. Anything you would normally pay extra for with Cable you would also have to pay extra with streaming.

• There are subscriptions required for certain apps within the firestick. Example if you want to watch Hulu or Netflix you have to have a subscription. The firestick itself doesn't require a monthly subscription.
