Do I have to keep direct cable null

Device plugs directly into a HDMI input on your TV and highly recommend you use the extender ( provided ) to get best signal from your internet router / modem. Problems associated with DIRECTV NOW buffering are related to early development of this service and eventually will be resolved but streaming tv is the future and ALL cable will go away. I've had better results with the Apple TV device and use the Firestick on my bedroom tv. Charles
