That only goes for buying it on amazon. You can get it sooner from Best Buy as long as they say it's in stock on their website.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not sure if this is going to answer your question, my understanding is that I can pick up my fire stick on the 29th at Best Buy. I did come to Best Buy due to it not being available on Amazon till April but we are only talking a day or so difference. Well if Amazon is going to have it available on April 1st, it is rather confusing isn't it ?

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I encountered the same problem. Best buy had in Stock with 2 day delivery! I purchased a total of 3, however, had to buy 2 then order 3rd. Best buy policy to sell no more than 2 per order. Was no big deal, just put on 3rd TV when it came in. I did not have cable turned off until I played for a while anyway.
