• Well, I know for a fact it does! Although, all of my t.v.'s are HD, I have friends whose are not and one of my friends purchased 3 (1 with the box), and none of her t.v's are HD's! Hope that helps, Good luck!

• More than likely because all you need is an HDMI port because that's how it connects to your tv

• You will need a adapter to convert HDMI to whatever port you have on your tv, (Usually component)
