I brought my first one primarily for the Kodi app so I can watch the newest movies out before they become rentable and sometimes while there still in the movies. I brought 3 more for my other TVs that aren’t SMART and my teenagers loved it. They can do everything including YouTube all in one place without changing channels or switching inputs.

You can watch anything u want.! you must download the software KODI on it though..that download will open its true purpose. You will never pay another monthly bill cable company again!

Once you jail break it you can watch movies old and in theaters, on-demand, live tv etc (YouTube has easy tutorials on jail breaking)

If you have a smart TV you dont really need a Firestick. It only holds the apps like Netflix, Prime, Hulu etc. just like your TV does. My smart tv is slow and hard to navigate so I love the Firestick and bought 2 more for our "dumb" TVs.

The Firestick includes Netflix, Hulu, and all of the other popular streaming services. You can also download new apps and games to the Firestick. I found that while I have most of the streaming services on my smartTV, sometimes the TV manufacturers such as Samsung will be slow to update apps or may remove apps altogether but I can still have access through the Firestick. Two examples, on one of my older smart TVs, the KS8000 Samsung removed the Youtube App but I can now use the Firestick for that purpose. A second example is that while my Samsung smartTVs have Hulu, they have not yet updated to HuluLive which allows for the viewing of live TV channels and local channels. Again, my Firestick afford me the ability to use Hulu Live and not just regular Hulu.

It should, it is Netflix. AND Amazon Prime and Hulu and as far as I know all the available services except Apple TV and I heard that was possibly being added.

It a mere convenience and/or prererence of speaking a search instead of keying a search for a movie or tv series. I for one, love the convenience.
