Roku is another product similar to the fire TV stick. They are two separate products from different companies that do a very similar thing (stream movies from online sources on your tv). Yes you would need to pay for that, but, only one or the other. If you buy this, you probably wont need a Roku and vise versa.

You can use other apps as well. Roku seems to operate using more channels according to its specs and it is quad core processor based rather than dual core.
