Not sure why, but ours has done the same thing. If you go to you tube it will walk you through how to fix the problem, that's what we did, and now ours is fine now.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You have to select your input, as most of the smart TV’s expect you to do. If you have the TV on and paused whatever you have been watching on the Firestik and leave it like that for few minutes, screen saver comes on. Press the play button and you will be back where you were. If the Firestik is the only input you have for your TV, then you have to turn your Firestik on when you turn your TV on. It is similar to what you would do, if you use any of the cable receivers and your TV was off for some time. Don’t you have to press “Menu”?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Because the stick goes to sleep when not in use. Check your settings. How new is your tv. Does it have HDMI control!? Try turning it on. Or hit the home button a few times when you want to watch. Mine says nothing dectected until I hit my home button.
