Mine died less than a year after purchase... not happy... it never got touched, stayed in the back of my tv from day one.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had the first gen firestick for a couple years with no issue. I have since upgraded to the new firestick gen and love them. I tend to use the fire tv box or Nvidia Shield more but still for the price it has its purpose. I do not use the roku so I am not sure about its life expectancy since I dont own one. I prefer andriod OS devices.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My first Fire Stick without Alexa lasted a good while at about 2 years. By second one with Alexa died at 93 days. The warranty was 90 days. I believe they are moving to a model of designing to fail every quarter so as to extract another $40 a quarter for access. They abused me with 6 hours of troubleshooting and chats. The Chats went through 4 different reps to try to get you to give up and just buy a new one. Finally they told me just to give up and go buy a new one.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The product life should be quite long. Even if it acts up, you can reset the device to the original factory setting and your good to go all over again.
