I think u would have to buy some kind of extension hdmi that has male end that would plug into tv and female end that you can plug the stick into, this is a very good question because the longer the extension the less heat will flow into the tv , and i think that it may make it run better but not sure because i have not tried to find such a cord im going to look on ebay Goodluck thanks for the question
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There should have been a small extender cable that came with the fire stick for a TVs that make it difficult for the fights that the plug-in you can put the cable in between the two and it should have came with your fire stick it's only about 3 or 4 inches long. Edge of the fire stick has to be plugged into an HDMI port the USB port is only used as the power source. So one end of the fire stick will go into an HDMI port and then it should have the USB end that goes into the USB port at the back of the TV or you can use the provided plug and plug into the wall instead. So the USB port does provide 120 volts of power. You can plug your cell phone into it and charge a cell phone off of it if you wanted to
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The fire stick comes with a short adapter cable to get into awkward usb ports.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Need to use HDMI, if you do not have enough HDMI inputs, you can add a HDMI switch to add more inputs. I have not seen a HDMI convert to USB
