Yes it does. It has the same capabilities, only more of them and it's as simple as opening the box, plugging the stick into an HDMI port and putting battering in the remote. Then find the source on your TV, tell the remote what you want to watch and you're off and running in a bout 15 minutes (that includes opening the box). I hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The box is better with games and resolution (4K) from my understanding . So they don't replace the box unless you want to downgrade to 1080p and have less gaming performance. If those are no issue then the stick is for you.
