Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It depends how you have your surround system set up. If you want the best way to insure all your devices will be compatible with the surround system is just run an audio out cable from your TV into the source of your sound system. The audio out on your TV can vary it could be Digital Optical which is most common, RCA which is less common on newer TV's but back in the day was the most common, or 3.5mm Headphone jack which is rare unless you have like a SHARP. Then under TV settings just make sure you go to Menu -> Audio -> Speaker Settings -> Audio Out. That way your TV speakers are not on as well because if they are with your surround sound system you may have sound echoing or too much central sound. Hope this helps!
