“same problem originally in HDMI 1 working fine. Then no sound. Unplugged everything even ext power supply. Had to move to HDMI 2 it worked for 3 months now same issue 1 and 2 no sound. I have no more HDMI inputs what now new TV new fire stick or hammer”

I'm sorry, this is so strange,,,,,you didn't by chance crossed the positive to the ground wire in your connections. Also, when work with speakers, make sure your amp or receiver is OFF!! You could of mixed your wires in the speakers, using the + at the amp or receiver and connected that to ground connection. Copper wire is always the positive + and the silver - us always the ground,,,DON'T MIX THEM!!!!!!!!!
