The firestick is just the usb that it directly plugged into the tv. The firestick tv that costs 89.99 is better, according to the amazon site, for everyday streaming. It also is a box unit.

Fire tv streams in 4k, has more rams , has the option to use an ethernet connection and holds an sd card. Fire tv stick is small making it portable, can only be used via wifi, doesnt stream 4k (1080p highest resolution), doesnt have sd slot. Long story short, if your tv is not 4k resolution and your wifi is good, fire tv stick works just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The fire TV box has a direct Internet connection also a place for a SD card as the first stick can only be ran off a WiFi connection the fire TV box can do both. U can also extend the memore of the fire TV box which u can't do with the firestick.

Both Amazon and Best Buy have both units and they are very competitive on pricing and availability... sometimes I receive the units from Best Buy quicker than Amazon. Amazon fire tv Box is more expensive but does have a faster processor and has 4K ability.
