• No Ethernet cable required.My Fire TV work great on wireless, they do offer an Ethernet adapter if you are set on hooking it up that way.

• The fire tv device only works with your smart tv Utilizing the HDMI connector to plug into you HDMI port on you smart tv. Will not work with your router.

• The Fire TV 3 is a wifi enabled device. If you'd like to add Ethernet connectivity, you'll need to purchase an OTG adaptor & Ethernet hub. It should be noted that an Ethernet connection is NOT required for the FireTV3.

• This is wireless. It plugs into tv with an HDMI port and to a power source. No extra cables are needed with this.
