This replaces the fire stick, no need to buy both. This one also includes Alexa voice control. I have not used the voice control but the instructions say it's simple to set up. Hopes this answers your questions.

No...you only have to purchase this and it plugs into your HDMI port like a regular firestick.

Only purchase the FireTV over the stick if you have a 4K tv. You cant watch 4K shows on Firestick. Other then that they are the same.

This operates the same as a fire stick, but allows for higher quality ( up to 4k) streaming capability. No need for both...
