Yes but you would still need to be watching uhd content. Like on netflix or amazon prime video

Yes it will. In the options there is the ability to choose your own resolution or two have it set to the TVs current resolution. On a side note it has great quality on a 4k tv.

It does for me, I have an LG OLED and if I choose to watch anything 4K UHD it automatically changes settings best for what’s playing. Depending on your TV you might have to allow access for the device to change settings but my best guess is you are not going to have any problems with that.

The unit will not adjust your TV’s resolution or setup parameters. It will change its own output video quality based on TV capability.
