While I'm not an expert on Calibre, if it works with your existing Kindle it should work just fine with the updated versions of the device. While your library of content purchased from Amazon should be available as soon as you log in, you can still use the USB connection feature to manually add compatible files to your Kindle. From Amazon's website, they list these compatible file types: Microsoft Word (.DOC, .DOCX) HTML (.HTML, .HTM) RTF (.RTF) Text (.TXT) JPEG (.JPEG, .JPG) GIF (.GIF) PNG (.PNG) BMP (.BMP) PDF (.PDF) EPUB (.EPUB) If you're still not sure I would suggest reaching out to the Calibre team directly to confirm which devices the application is compatible with.
