“Can children have the books read to them? I'm looking for devices for my students to use in a listening station. We have 1 iPad with downloaded books/apps that reads to kids but iPads are also expensive.”

• Yes this has Audible.com books that read to you or you can have the book and audio together, called immersion reading. You do have to have a subscription to either kindle unlimited or audible for you to listen to books.

• Yes the kindle is capable of reading books. If you want it read by live human such as an audio book. Other wise it is a computerized voice that actually does a pretty decent job.
