“I need this plug to be triggered by me arriving or leaving with my phone. Phillips Hue will do that. I want my camera to react to leaving by coming on. Any camera will work through such a plug. If this plug will not function that way, is there one?”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can set Alexa routines for arriving or leaving as well as set schedules. These plugs can be turned on or off based on these events. Short answer: yes through Alexa which I also use to control all my Hues. I don’t even use the Hue app anymore. The same Alexa routines control both my Hues and plugs at the same time and can be set individually for a mixture of on or off within the routine or have them assigned to a room/group to be turned on or off as a whole. The plugs and bulbs all show in the device list with appropriate icons for its type.
