• I would think anything plugged into the Alexa plug would turn on/off

• It shouldn't be a problem. All the Amazon plug is doing is turning the electricity on and off. Just make sure you have your air conditioner always set to "On" and you'll be good to go.

• As long as the AC plug is a standard connection, (unlike a clothes dryer plug) the smart plug should work.
