“Does the amount of wifi Ghz a factor when choosing this product? I bought another smart plug and it was not usable because my home has 5 Ghz wifi and the smart plug could only handle 2.4 Ghz, so it did not work. Will this one work?”

• If you have 5ghz, you also have 2.4 ghz - select the lower frequency.

• This Amazon smart plug is advised to use with 2.4 Ghz wi-fi. Usually a 5 Ghz wi-fi also has the option for a lesser 2.4 Ghz wi-fi as to use with this device.

• It works with my 5Ghz router, unless it auto switches down to the 2.4...
