• It will power off her tv on and off but that's about it. I recommend getting the echo tv if you want to do all of this.

• I don't believe it would. I think the plug just allows electricity to pass from the outlet to the lamp electrical cord. With a lamp, you can leave the lamp switch in the on position, then use the smart plug to allow electricity to pass through to "already turned on" lamp. With a TV, electricity is already passing through via the electrical cord, but you have to click a remote control button to turn it on (unless the TV is a very old model).

• This is just an on off switch. It won’t change the channel or adjust the volume. I think you need a tv with amazon fire built in to do what your asking.

• Power ON/OFF for sure but not the volume or channel change. Unless your tv is compatible with Alexa

• Sorry, but it totally depends on TV for turning ON and OFF. For volume up/down, no this won't do that. Basically, this can just control power to any device that is connected to it.
