“I have a speaker that is a plug-in, does this outlet have to be plugged as well? I want to be able to go different places with these 2 items and I was wondering if this outlet is portable and if so will it work on a Google Nest speaker?”

define other places? if within your house yes but if to other locations outside your house no.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Josh, This outlet plugs into a wall, and then when you plug something into it, you can control it with your voice, using Alexa. Unfortunately, it will only work with Alexa. So it will still allow the Google Nest speaker to be powered, but the outlet can not be voice controlled through the Nest device, as it gets set up and voice activated (so to speak) through the Alexa app. Hope this info helps.
