“Can this extender be connected with a hard wire from my router? or does it have to get its signal wireless from the router and then broadcast the wireless signal to computers. Where the extender located will better if its signal can be hard wired”

yes it can.. it basically has all the inputs and outputs that are commonly out there. my router is very old and i have it hardwired
