- Answer No, however you can have the extender kind of clone your SSID close to it. I.E if you SSID on your original router is "ONE" the extender would be "ONE_RE" for the 5ghz and "ONE_RE_2.4" for the 2.4 ghz.

QuestionCan this extender be connected with a hard wire from my router? or does it have to get its signal wireless from the router and then broadcast the wireless signal to computers. Where the extender located will better if its signal can be hard wired

- Answer Hello, All of our extenders only work through a WIFI connection. If you need to hard wire a unit to your router you need to use an access point like the APA1300 or APA2600.

QuestionWhy do I have to do a hard reset everytime the power goes out, which seems to be alot lately? All my lights and home automation are connected to my SR10000. So when the power goes out none of our lights work anymore. Thanks MW

- Answer Hello! A second extender is ok if the repeater is connected to the router directly just like the other extender. To ensure repeater is connecting to the router directly, the extended network must have different name from the main network of the router.

QuestionI own two small homes, side by side with about a 10' space in between. My daughter and grandkids live in one and my husband and I live in the other. We would like to share the single Wi-Fi service between us and wondered if this makes that possible?

QuestionIm connected to an access point in my bldg. I want to create my own wifi network with my own password & connect printers and share files, etc. through it. Will this be able to do that-Pick up wirelessly and transmit it wirelessly through my devices?

- Answer The device acts as its own DHCP server (it creates a new network, but may take advanced routing changes to keep others not on it from seeing the devices. This I am not sure of), creates a new WiFi network, and lets you put a password on it. I have not done this myself, but I would assume the answer is yes.

- Answer I don't know why it shouldn't. Your hotspot should be either 2.4GHz or 5GHz, which is exactly what this thing extends. If your phone does something else (I doubt it does) it will not extend it.

QuestionHow close to the router does the extender need to be to pick up the connection?

- Answer That depends on lots of factors. Reading the included materials it likes to have the signal at 70% or what I would guess is -70 dbm. The device should have a light on the front of it that lights up if it thinks it is to far away according to the material included with it. The short answer, assuming no walls or interference roughly 70 feet. If you have any of interference or walls, which you probably do, 35 feet or less (this takes into account vertical and horizontal distance).

- Answer There is not a strait answer as that depends on the router strength and environment. The Helios is high power unit but you will still need at least 70% signal from your router so the Helios can blanket the rest of the area with strong reliable signal up to 12k sqft

- Answer you may have a Wi-Fi calling feature on your phone.. you may go to the Verizon store to see if they could help you.. I have Verizon and my phone has it, I have the galaxy s7
