“Does it have a internal battery?”

• I think so but after the car is turned the camera shuts down after about 45 seconds. It does save some battery for emergency recording, like if something hits your car. I sometimes tend to trigger that action by getting in my car and closing the door(too hard I guess).

• Yes, It has an internal battery. At least in the default setup, its purpose is to permit the camera to record for 60 seconds after you shut off the 12 Volt accessory power which usually goes off when you shut down the engine. I think there are some setup options where you can change the "record after power off" time.
